With mechanically controlled direct injection, Euro-2 models are available in 310, 330 and 350 horsepower ratings, with torque ratings from 1,250 to 1,450 N.m. Electronically controlled direct injected Euro-3 and Euro-4 versions are offered at 330, 350 and 370 horsepower, with torque ratings from 1,350 to 1,650 N.m. Euro-4 models utilize SCR.
Up to 350 kg lighter than equivalent horsepower big-bore engines, the CA6DL series combines heavy-duty performance with lightweight efficiency.
The engine’s wide operating range, high torque rise and fast throttle response allows both on-highway and vocational operators to optimize transmission and rear-end gearing selection for maximum performance and fuel economy.
